He started with having 5 homes in Ottawa that he was looking after and has grown to 50+ in the last year. “I was tired of reading about people being taken advantage of by unreliable contractors who overpromise and underdeliver. We have had work done by other companies; however, we have never experienced a company like “Sterk”. The professionalism, attention to detail, punctuality and workmanship is what makes this company stand out. Right from the start, Slater was amazing! When he said he would be here at a certain time, he was here. When he said the workers would be here, they were here too. After each day’s work, the crew cleaned up, and my husband and I were able to continue living in our home. Slater is a great guy, very approachable, has excellent ideas, and wants to make sure you, as the customer, are totally happy. He is honest, trustworthy, reliable, and easy to communicate with. Slater is dedicated to his business and his name. He and his team are fantastic to work with from beginning to end. I appreciated being able to trust Slater and felt confident that my interests were being represented. We hired Sterk’s handyman, Duncan, for many overdue tasks throughout the house. He worked hard and efficiently. He was thoughtful, professional, and very competent. We are very pleased to have been able to cross off our to-do list. We then expanded the scope of work to a bigger project, roof repairs, which Slater managed for us, even sending Duncan over to check-in on the day of roofing work.  This action demonstrates the extra care put forth by Sterk Home Services to give their clients peace of mind. I’ve been using Sterk in Ottawa for about a year now, and they’ve been amazing. I make a list twice a year of small things that need to be done around the house—caulking, grouting, hanging pictures—and they take care of it all quickly and professionally. They also did a larger project for us, installing a custom bench and shelving in my daughter’s room. They helped with the design, price shopping, and install, and it turned out beautifully. The pricing is very reasonable, the hourly rate is great, and the work is definitely more professional than what we could do ourselves. It’s saved my family a ton of time and effort.
